Normally when you are angry you can try to distract your thoughts by counting to 10, or remove yourself from the situation causing your feelings of anger by taking a walk, exercise some time, or talking to somebody else about your feelings. These activities usually slowly calm your feelings and after sometime you will not be excited as before.

But if this situation arises frequently then you must think of taking somebody's help. If your anger lasts longer as time goes on, or if your anger leads into aggression or if your anger is destroying your personal and professional relationships then you must join anger management groups or classes which enablesyou to talk with other people having similar problems.

 

 

Anger management groups are formed to support people from the age of 12 in learning to deal with anger in a healthy and productive manner. They arrange the group discussions on topics like communication, boundaries, anger causes and how to reduce them and set each person goals on improving their behaviour. They run one or two hours classes each week for 6 to 8 weeks. Groups are interactive and educational. By attending anger Management Groups, you come to know how different people who are facing the same problem, deal with their feelings, and thishelps you find out a solution for your own anger problem. It helps you to accept more responsibility for your own actions.
