Anger is a natural emotion which is experienced by every individual. Expressing anger shouldn't cause trouble to others. Physical altercation without the prior expression of anger by least one of the participants is very rare.
Humans have some behavioral norms related to social survival. If somebody does not follow these norms, this can cause anger in others - e.g not receiving respect. This may break social or interpersonal safety rules. Because we have language, humans can cause others to feel anger by using verbal insults or written threats. Hence, although we may not perceive an immediately physical threat, such things can cause us to feel pain psychologically. Anger can arise without a direct physical threat and without an actual other person being present. We have the capacity to imagine the distant future, so the threat of pain can also arise because of our imagination. It may not be based on anything happening in the immediate present. After reading about others being treated unjustly, people may experience anger even though he or she is not the victim. So human beings can experience anger empathetically. However, to ensure social survival, we all need to learn anger management. Everybody has the ability to learn this skill.
