Causes Of Anger
Anger is only an internal emotion but it causes external reactions. It is normal for any human to get angry. There are many causes of anger. Yet there are some people who got angry easily for small reasons.
Some people soon get angry because they have the inner feeling that other people are preventing them from doing what they want. This will make them more angry than normal people. Even a small action may cause them to feel anger, because they will think that such action will spoil their dignity and status in the society. But remember, any harsh words expressed in anger will spoil your image in the society.
Some people cannot face any discomfort. Such things will make them angry. Anger may also be caused because some people think that they are perfect and they got angry when they realise they do have some imperfections. The tendency of some people to advise others how to behave or not to behave will be a major cause for anger in the people being told what they should do.
If the other person uses abusive language, then any one will get angry easily. Everybody wants to keep their self esteem and they feel hurt when any one uses bad words to label them. It is the most common cause for anger all over the world.
One of the common causes of anger is when people feel frustrated. People get angry when they want something and they do not get it when they want it, and get something which they do not want. Some may feel extreme anger when they fail to get something they definitely want to have.
Conflicting events can cause anger. If, for example, you want to listen to the news on TV and your children are playing noisily then you may start to feel anger because the noise they are making stops you hearing the news. The children are not aware of the effect their behaviour is having on you. Some psychological causes can lead to anger. Tension, lack of a sense of humor etc. may result in anger frequently. If you are faced with problems in life that you cannot always solve or cope with, then this too can be one of the common causes of anger.
Even though there are so many reasons for anger, the two main causes are frustration and the feeling that others do not respect you. Our thoughts cause anger sometimes. We may misunderstand the actions of another person, and feel wrongly that he or she is not caring or respectful towards us. This will cause feelings of anger to develop.
Even a rich man who has sufficient wealth and reputation can get angry if he loses sometimes. Although it will not affect his wealth, he will get angry because the feeling that he has lost something makes him angry. Other causes of anger can be physical pain, excess use of alcohol or use of drugs. Even poor communication skills with others can cause anger. But remember that society consists of all sorts of different types of persons, most of whom know nothing about us. To them we are complete strangers, so they are not aware of our feelings. We have to cope up most people most of the time, especially in our towns and cities during the rush hour. So you need to manage your anger in every day situations.
